Bradley Stoke - Frequently asked questions

Which night of the week are classes?
We run classes every Thursday evening.

Do you run a course or can I just drop in?
At Bradley Stoke our beginner’s class works on a 9 week cycle – but you can drop in at any time as the cycle runs continuously. This means you will always cover some basic footwork at the beginning of the lesson and the second part is dedicated to learning an essential technique of the dance.

What time do the classes star?
8.00pm - Beginners (L1) and Improvers (L3)

9.10pm – Bridging (L2) and Fun Class (rotates between Bachata, Bachata Tango, Cha Cha Cha and La Rueda)

Do I need a partner?
No - just turn up
The classes we run circulate people around so you are never with the same person for very long

What is the age range of the classes?
From 18 to 60 but mainly 25-40ish

How much is it?
Classes are £5.00 or if you stay on for a second class an extra £2.00

What do I wear?
Anything you are comfortable in.
Something that you would normally wear to the pub.

Do I need special shoes?
No to start with people wear ordinary day shoes
(please avoid trainers as they are too sticky)

When can I join?
Anytime - we run beginners classes on a 9 week rotation so whenever you start you will cover 9 weeks before moving onto the bridging course

What style of salsa do you do?
We work on a mix of Cuban and Cross Body

Which class should I be in?
We ask that you demonstrate competency in a variety of moves to progress though our classes.
It is not a case of how long you have been dancing but if you can apply the moves.
(If you are new to the class please try to arrive early and talk to the tutor or give me a call to talk about what class you should attend)

Are there any discounts for Active Card holders?
No – not at this time.

I hope this answers your questions but if I can be of any further help please just call.

Cheers Jools
